Description: KV 30 is located in the south branch of the southwest wadi. The tomb lies about 40 m (131 feet) north from KV 32. It consists of a shaft (A), a corridor (B) leading into a chamber (C), and four side chambers (Ca-d). The rock is of good quality, but is roughly cut. James Burton recorded a mason mark as "red characters in chamber of pit."
Noteworthy features: The unusual design of the tomb with its multiple side chambers is similar to KV 5 (but on a smaller scale), and also to KV 12 and KV 27. KV 30 or 31 could have been the original location of an Dynasty 18 quartz-sandstone anthropoid sarcophagus found by Belzoni in 1817 and donated to the British Museum by the Earl of Belmore.
